Collecting Data to Improve Classroom Management

Organization: Midwest Regional Education Laboratory

REL Midwest received a request for information on the effectiveness of collecting and tracking data to improve classroom management. Following an established REL Midwest research protocol, we conducted a search for research reports as well as descriptive and policy-oriented briefs and articles on the effectiveness of collecting and tracking data to improve classroom management. We focused on identifying resources that specifically addressed classroom data tracking methods or programs. The sources included federally funded organizations, research institutions, several educational research databases, and a general Internet search using Google.
