The Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) is a non-profit collaborative of schools, districts, regional and state agencies, policy makers, trade organizations and marketplace providers addressing tactical, real-world, and implementable solutions to growing data privacy concerns. The Consortium develops materials, hosts events, provides membership artifacts, generates template & tools, and delivers effective practices, all through a collaborative of end users and marketplace providers. The first project, the Privacy Contract Framework, develops “common contract” language to help set clear contract term expectations. Other Projects underway include an Application Profile Tool and a developing LEA privacy “playbook” termed Digital Tool Governance.
